Microdermabrasion, for healthy skin.
What benefits does microdermabrasion have?
Microdermabrasion is used to treat and minimise the most difficult skin conditions, or just to rejuvenate and maintain the health of the skin. There are many benefits to microdermabrasion. Expect to see:
* Good skin tone
* Softer skin
* Even skin colour
* A nice, healthy glow
* Refined skin pores
* A more youthful appearance
* Fewer break-outs
* Renewed elasticity
How does microdermabrasion work?
Microdermabrasion provides a gentle and effective mechanical peeling of the top layer of skin using micro diamond-shaped crystals to slough off dead cells.

The applicator delivers a steady stream of very fine diamond crystals to the skin, leaving it smooth and fresh, while promoting new collagen growth underneath.

Microdermabrasion is a modern skin care option that complements other health programs without interference.
Smooth skin surface is goal.

This approach respects the integrity of the skin tissues and minimises trauma. The skin can then heal more evenly and naturally.

Maintaining the level of cellular growth on the surface directly relates to the freshness and youthfulness of the skin’s appearance.

On average, we renew our skin surface every four to six weeks. However, with age and poor general health, renewal is considerably slower. For optimal skin health we recommend repeating the treatment 3-6 times, 4-6 weekly.

How effective is microdermabrasion for acne treatment?
Microdermabrasion is an important part of acne treatment, but is used to best effect with a specialised skincare routine. We can work together to tailor a skincare program that is best suited to your skin’s needs.

How many treatments will I need?
Your skin will feel different after a single treatment. Most clients benefit from three to six treatments, supported by daily, quality at-home skincare.

Does it hurt and is there any down time?
The treatment is fast, safe and pain-free, leaving little or no redness. Treatments last less than an hour so do not interrupt your busy schedule. There is usually no down time, but the rejuvenating mask works best if it can be left on overnight.

What preparations are required for microdermabrasion treatments?
Schedule your treatment, FB Messenger or text 027 205 1008.

Your medical history will be reviewed for any history of skin problems, medications, etc. Microdermabrasion will be explained fully and all of your questions answered.

For best results you should avoid all forms of tanning for two weeks prior to treatment.

To get the best result from your microdermabrasion treatments, it’s recommended that you begin using a scrub for two weeks prior to the treatment to soften dead skin cells.

If you remember to remove your make up before your appointment, that’s great, otherwise we can do this at the time.

What does it cost?
A single treatment is $79. Microdermabrasion may be combined with other treatments based on what is optimal for your skin, lifestyle and time constraints.
